Passing the wrong laws.

The United States Senate will vote on Protect IP and SOPA later this month.

Both are terrible options.

If passed, those would make the states able to legally do what Syria, Iran and China are doing on the net. In practical terms this means corporate censorship on the internet.

If you are an U.S. citizen you should act now not only for you and your people but for the sad example it would set worldwide. If you are not, you can sign a petition too adding some pressure and letting them know that those bills are the wrong thing ...

When you deal with heuristics and experiments and discoveries, the best interface is the one that unbottlenecks for you these two things:
  1. creativity and
  2. feedback
The whole experience flows when you get fast (or instant) qualified feedback so you can explore ways and practice better ways and try new things. You should be able to do it over and over until you get to the results that make sense most.

A pencil on a paper gives you that.

Plus low cost, reliability and low friction.

Result?

Hundreds of years of it.

First locally produced ad by Diageo (owners of the Johnnie Walker brand) created by Neogama launched yesterday here in Brazil.

It works by making two things at once:

So the destruction of an undesirable social construct makes room for your fabricated ideas sparked by the metaphor ...

Take a look at this scial-media report here:

Observations

This is what I'm taking from it:

  1. facebook is strong
  2. twitter is fine and
  3. tumblr is getting hot
  4. mobile, not surprigsingly, keeps growing
  5. people do many many things with internet but social is starting to drive and start things
  6. social networker adults are more likely to engage in activities that are great for the economy and
  7. active social media users become influential

Conclusion

It sounds like social-media is doing its thing: amplifying the social experience through usability and reachability. It isn't about media at all. Internet (plus good design and good UIs and ...

So, do you still remember when you feel like this?

Tony Kelly, the renowned Irish fashion photographer, shot this promotional ad for American Apparel Kids. Check out how he used super cutness to replace the typical super sexiness of Americal Apparel for, err...  ex-kids.

All that while providing the same message.

Now... after watching it, you want to be a kid again and start all over, don't you?

Right, that's the message reaching its destination.
